Mindfulness practices to tune into your body
We are always busy, aren’t we? Most of us spend all day worrying about doing more and producing more. You all want to tune into your body but modern life makes us exhausted and overwhelmed.
Our mind is always doing something, thinking about the past, or worrying about the future.
For that reason, we have lost contact with our bodies and the present moment.
So, how can we recover our connection with our physical bodies?
Here are some spiritual mindfulness practices that will help you to reconnect with yourself and your body.
Meditate to tune into your body
Yes, this one’s pretty obvious. But most of us are not meditating as we should.
Have you found reasons to avoid meditation today?
Meditation helps us to compensate for all of the external stimuli. It brings us to the present moment and to feel ourselves from within.
It may be difficult If you are just starting to meditate. If you find it hard, start breathing deeply and paying attention to your breath for a few minutes. Then, increase the time as you get more comfortable.
Once you start, try to observe your thoughts. Don’t judge them: watch them and let them go. Keep breathing.
Do this every day, and you will see the difference.

Do some exercise
Maybe you are feeling mentally tired because of your daily routine.
Harmonious exercise can help you to balance your mind, body, and spirit.
Try some yoga poses, qi-gong, stretching, or even dancing. Find what you love and do it every day!
Your body is a temple. So, don’t force it: treat it with respect. Avoid doing excessive exercise.
The idea here is not to get fit but to get in contact with your body. Feeling how it moves. Feeling where’s the tension.
Exercising is an excellent way to release tension from the body. It will help you to lower your levels of stress and to reconnect with your body.
Eat mindfully
Have you ever eaten while scrolling through Instagram posts?
Every day, this is getting more common.
We eat standing up while doing other things, receiving calls, and worrying about the next task that we have to do.
But, what if we sit to eat and enjoy our food?
Try to chew slowly, paying attention to every sensation: how it looks, feels, smells, and tastes. Turn off your phone, avoid doing anything else.
Make your meals a ritual. Eat at a beautiful and quiet place. Don’t worry about what time it is. Just eat.
This way, you will change your relationship with food for the better, and you will be reconnecting with your senses. This will allow you to really tune into your body.
Make a ritual bath
The time for showering is an opportunity to reconnect with your body. So, why shouldn’t you take advantage of it?
Enjoy your bath. Put on some music, add some herbs and flowers, and light a candle. Enjoy the sensations.
Some plants can remove negative energy, making you feel great. Try some cinnamon, chamomile, or rose flowers for harmony.
These rituals not only clean your physical body but they help you to cleanse your aura or energetic body from any negativity. Try to do this at least once a week.
Have rest
Allow yourself some time to rest. It’s okay to spend time doing nothing. Let your mind and your body be quiet for some time. It will allow your body to recharge.
You don’t need to be active all the time. The modern world makes us work all day, but we can’t be doing things all the time. Stop putting so much pressure on yourself. Stop stressing over how much you achieve.
Sit for a while and do nothing: focus on tuning into your body.
Embrace your passive, receptive energy once in a while. Everyone needs balance to find peace and harmony within themselves.
You also need enough time to sleep. Don’t stay up late. Push yourself to wake up in the morning, so you can enjoy the first rays of sunlight.
Waking up early in the morning will make you start your day refreshed and with so much energy. Being mindful of how you are going to sleep is another way to show respect and love to your body.

Be in nature
Nature shows us the harmony that exists everywhere in the universe. Being in nature allows us to recover balance.
But it’s also great to be in nature because it can help you to tune into your body.
So, go to the beach, the forest, the mountain or even a park. Go for a walk, walk barefooted, see how your feet feel on the ground, pay attention to every step.
Hug a tree, take deep breaths, allow fresh air to clean you physically and energetically.
Is it cold? Is it hot? Feel how your body reacts to your environment.
Life in big cities makes us stressed. Nature teaches us how to live in the present moment. The trees, the sun, the animals, the flowers… They do not care about tomorrow. They are right here, right now.
Try to do this every once in a while, at least once a month. You’ll see how nature has the power to bring balance to our bodies.
Tune into your body
Maybe you are used to having a busy day. Honestly, most of us are.
But we have to be honest with ourselves. Being too busy all the time makes us mentally and physically exhausted.
When your mind is always doing something, it spends little time enjoying the present moment and being aware of your body sensations.
But you don’t have to worry all the time about doing and achieving as much as you can. You deserve some time for yourself to tune into your body.
You don’t need that much noise all the time. Turn off the TV, turn off your phone, turn off your thoughts. Enjoy the silence and listen to what your body and your soul have to say.
That’s it for today! Know you now some ways to recover the contact with your body and your spirit.
